What a great gesture. I remember as a kid being spoiled when the book mobile or book fair came, looked around and other kids families couldnt afford to purchase books for their children, later in life when it was time for my children to order books I gave their teacher a nice donation and told her to make sure every kid receives a book.
Be prepared to cry with a student, for a student, and because of a student. Let’s take this The best kind of dad raises a teacher shirt and see how good is. Be prepared to be denied a substitute when you have the flu (don’t worry- if it is really bad, they will divide your students among the other teachers and give THEM the extra work). Oh, and really be prepared to lose your heart. Those kids just steal it. No teacher does it for the money or the federal holidays or the summer breaks. They do it for the kids.
A wonderful thing this person has done for the kids and their teacher. But it shouldn’t have to come to this. Education should be in the Top 5 on the list of priorities in this country. Like healthcare, education should be a ‘no-brainer’ so to speak when it comes to financing it. These kids should want for nothing and their teachers should be better paid for their efforts and skills. Schools should be mansions of learning and shouldn’t have to rely on Gofundme sites or humanitarian efforts for supplies, books, and what-not. This needs to change and soon before it’s too late, if it isn’t too late already.
I’m sure if it applies to her new grade, she will. Her best friend is going to take over her K position, so she will probably leave some for her. Hopefully, the previous teacher will do the same for my daughter. There is no thing cooler that this The best kind of dad raises a teacher shirt and why don’t give a chance. They are a small school and close-knit, I’m sure they will help each other out. But, there is always a list of needs.
